Before operating these D203M goggles,
please read this guide completely and retain it for future
reference.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all these instructions.
Do not use these Night Vision Goggles in daylight with lens cover
removed. It
may damage the D203M.
Avoid aiming these Night Vision Goggles to bright light sourse. Do
not store these Night Vision Goggles out of the case. Remove the
battery out of the battery compartment if the Night Vision Goggles
are not in use for a long time.
Never reassemble the unit. This Night Vision Goggles contains
high-voltage
parts. You may suffer electric shock if you touch these parts. If
any problems appear
call your authorized dealer. Use only dumps cloth to clean the
unit surface.
Always handle the unit with care. Avoid shocks, dust and
dampness.

The D203M is the passive noctovisor designed for multipurpose
night observation.
The integrated IR searchlight enables you to see in absolute
darkness.

When using the head mask one can "flip-up" (relate) the goggles at
90° angle and fix it in this position, also there is the ability
to position and fix the goggles at the
most comfortable distance from the operator's eyes.
When using the aviation helmet THL-5Mp one can "flip-up"' (rotate)
the goggles
at 30°, 120° or 150° angles and fix it in chosen position; there
are also the ability of vertical positioning (15 mm) and the
ability
to position and fix the
goggles at the most
comfortable distance from the operator's eyes

D203M

• The D203M has aluminium, black anodized body (1) with optical
system inside.
The body (11) contains image intensifier tube. Due to the special
eyepieces
(2) the device can compensate the difference of the distance
between the eyes of
different persons. The range of compensation is 58... 70 mm
• The access to the battery compartment is available after the
cover 9 is removed.
Controls:
• The D203M has one five-positioned rotary switch (7). The
following positions are
available:
-
The D203M is OFF.
-
The Image intensifier tube is ON.
-
The Image intensifier tube is ON and the IR searchlight is ON
with low output
power.
-
The Image intensifier tube is ON and the IR searchlight is ON
with big output
power.
-
The D203M is OFF.
• Pressing button (8) can turn ON the IR searchlight also.
The
lens focusing is available by turning ring 5: clockwise -0,25 m,
anti clockwise -infinity.
Eyepieces focusing is available by turning rings 3: clockwise -4D,
anti-clockwise +4D.
PREPARATION FOR USE AND OPERATION
Make sure that the
lens cover is on before snitching ON the D203M in daylight! There
is 1.2-inm diameter hole in the lens cover to test the
D203M in daylight.
To test the D203M in daylight;
• make sure that the lens cover is on
• remove the batten' compartment cover (9) and insert batteries
(see picture near the
batten- compartment cover) with positive terminals inside the
body;
• turn switch (7) (Fig. 1) one position clockwise to switch on
the D203M
• turn rings (3) and (5) (Fig. 1) to focus the picture.
In the nighttime remove the lens cover.
Cover the lens after the operation is finished.
PREPARATION
FOR USE AND OPERATION WITH THE HEAD MASK
Turn the screw (5) (Fig.2) anti-clockwise until stop Press the
button (6) and put
the goggles on the bracket (3) guides. Fix the device securely
adjusting head mask
belts according to your size. Move the goggles horizontally along
the bracket (3) guide to the most comfortable position and fix it
by turning the screw (5) clockwise.
Press button (4) to "flip-up" (rotate) the goggles. When the
rotation is
started the button (4) can be released: the goggles would
be fixed in upper position
automatically. To move the goggles back one has to perform the
listed above
operations inversely. The device turning ON and OFF procedures is
listed in p. 6
of this guide.

PREPARATION FOR USE AND
OPERATION WITH
THE
AVIATION HELMET THL-5p TYPE
1.
Put on the aviation helmet according to
its
manual; tighten belts (7)
(Fig.3). Optical
Filter must be lifted up.
2.
Put the goggles on the mounting bracket (3) (Fig.3) guide (the
screw (4) must beunscrewed
until stop). Fix the goggles by the screw (4).
3.
Having turned
the
screw (5) anti-clockwise,
adjust the vertical position of
the
goggles and fix it by
turning the screw (5) clockwise.
4.
Set free the crew (4) and position the goggles to the most
comfortable distance from
your eyes tighten the crew (4) after this.
Caution!
If you'll find the vertical movement to he not enough, then you'll
need to adjust the aviation helmet position on your head using its
belts system according to
the helmet's manual.
5.
Turn the screw (9) anti-clockwise until stop and mount the
counterweight (8) to the
helmet guide. The guide is to be positioned by its gearing to the
bottom. Fix the
counterweight by turning the screw (9) clockwise until stop.
6.
To
remove the counterweight turn the screw (9) anti-clockwise, press
the button (10)and
move the counterweight up (see arrow in Fig.3).

To "flip-up" (rotate) the goggles press the button 6 and turn the
goggles through 30°
, 120° or 150°. When the rotation is started the button (6) can be
released: the goggles would be fixed in upper position
automatically. To turn the goggles to the next
position press the button 6 again and turn the goggles. To move
the goggles back one has lo perform the listed above operations
inversely. The device turning ON and OFF procedures is listed in
this guide.
Warning!
The
helmet optical filter can be turned down only when the mounting
bracket (3) is turned up!
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your Night Vision Goggles are not performing properly, use the
following troubleshooting cart for quick solution to common
problems.

MANUFACTURER'S
WARRATY
What the warranty covers:
The manufacturer warrants its products to be free from defects in
material and workmanship during the warranty period. If the
product proves to de defective in material or workmanship during
the warranty period, the manufacturer will at its
sole option repair or replace the product with a like product.
How long the warranty is effective:
The D203M is warranted for twelve (12) months for all parts and
twelve (12)
months for all labor from the date of the first consumer
purchase.
Who the warranty protects:
The warranty is valid only for the first consumer purchaser.
Warranty does not cover:
a.
Any product, on which the serial number has been defaced,
modified or removed,
b.
Damage,
deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
c.
Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lighting or other acts of
nature, unauthorized
product modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied
with the product.
d.
Repair
or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by the manufacturer.
e.
Use of
supplies or parts not meeting manufacturer's specifications,
f.
Normal
wears or tears,
g.
Any
other cases which docs not relate to the product defect.
